A constructive partnership between Simply Chocolate and HN Group A/S has made it possible to produce a chocolate moulding form made of thermoformed APET foil, which replaces an injection moulded form.
The advantage of this new APET disposable tray for Simply Chocolate is a streamlining of production, as there is no need for continuous cleaning and maintenance. What matters most to Simply Chocolate is that the new trays are made in Denmark, where there is full traceability of the foil. A green approach is also important; this APET foil consists of 80% recycled plastic. The foil can be reused and is approved for food use, with the associated migration testing.
“It’s important for us to be near our suppliers for the sake of traceability and due to environmental considerations. Partnering with HN Group A/S gives us lots of flexibility – in terms of both forecasting and fast deliveries,” says purchasing manager Kristian Bøgelund Hansen.
